CHAN PUI YAN CELIA
Celia Chan (b. 1998) is a Hong Kong-based visual artist. She graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University majoring in Product Design in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Fine Arts. She initially aspired to photography and later developed a strong interest in the language of painting and the spaces constructed by two-dimensional imagery.
The various contradictions and conflicts encountered in everyday life often inspire Celia Chan. She opted for painting as her primary medium and attempted to create paintings with the essence of daily life. She explores ordinary experience, making the familiar unfamiliar and inviting a fresh perspective on the world around us.
